Day 2: Chicago Cold Fog and Hot Pizza

Leaving Pittsburgh (too) early on the way to Chicago! Filling up the tank once again...

Yet another rain storm to break the heat.

 Ohio!

Raul's been such a good driver, letting me photograph from the passenger seat. We thought about stopping in Ohio but kept on keepin' on...

Indiana! These landscapes were amusing at first, but got old quick..

My heart goes out to truck drivers, what a way of life!

This bridge to nowhere outside of Chicago looks like something from my dreams.

You think New York drivers are bad? People were speeding like crazy going into Chicago!

 Graphic signs getting into town.

Tom was sitting in front of where we parked the car in Chicago. A Cape Cod native, and blues musician, we chatted about the color of his hair, symbolic of intuition, and a movie he's making about homelessness (which, by the way, we saw a lot of in Chicago). You can see his Facebook page here.

Yes, it's the Windy City, but it was much colder than expected, with a thick fog covering the top of the skyscrapers.

 By mi corazón, Raul.

These no gun stickers were posted on many entrances downtown.

 CHICAGO

 Creepy Atrium Mall.

Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza was a welcome break from our cold ham sandwiches and chips.

Trump sure knows how to make his mark! We're sure there are many more cool things to do in Chicago, but our gut said keep going...

Got pulled over right outside of Chicago for some minor speeding. The cop was incredibly nice, he asked if we needed any advice as to where to stay or what to do in the suburbs, but we just kept West...
